Booking & Cancellation
- How do I book a room?
- The easiest way is to book directly through our website, where you can easily see what is available and choose the type of room you wish to book. You can directly select a pet-friendly room, request an extra bed, and breakfast is always included when you book directly with us.
- Can I modify or cancel my booking?
- General hotel booking terms apply, and cancellations must be made no later than 48 hours before arrival.
- How and when do I pay?
- All bookings must be guaranteed with a credit card number. Payment is made upon arrival at the hotel unless otherwise specified at the time of booking.
- Do I need to bring ID to stay with you?
- All guests checking into the hotel must present valid identification and a valid payment card. This does not apply to guests under 18 traveling with a guardian.
- How do I book a room with a gift card?
- You can call us at +46 523-611000 or email info@grandhotellysekil.se and provide your gift card number to make a booking.

- What are the check-in and check-out times?
- Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. during high season and 3:00 p.m. during low season, but if your room is ready, you are welcome to check in earlier. Check-out is by 11:00 a.m.
- Can I get a late check-out or early check-in?
- Subject to availability, you can book early check-in from 12:00 p.m. and late check-out until 2:00 p.m. for an additional fee of 300 SEK.

- What types of rooms do you offer?
- We have six different room types, which you can view here.
- Can you provide extra pillows, blankets, or other amenities if needed?
- Simply let us know at reception when you check in, or contact us before your arrival, and they will be ready in your room upon check-in.
- Is the hotel smoke-free?
- We are a smoke-free hotel, and indoor smoking is strictly prohibited. A cleaning fee will be charged if smoking occurs in the room.
- Are there stairs at the entrance, or is there an alternative, more accessible entry?
- There are stairs leading to the entrance from the square, and no alternative entry without stairs. You can read more about the hotel's accessibility here.
- Does the hotel have an elevator?
- The Grand building was constructed in 1878 and unfortunately does not have an elevator.
- Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?
- Our entrance floor, where you will find the reception, breakfast room, and four guest rooms, is accessible via a staircase from the square. We do not have an elevator or ramp to provide wheelchair access to the entrance floor.

- Do you offer Wi-Fi, and is it free?
- We have Wi-Fi available at the hotel, and it’s included with your stay. You will receive the password upon check-in.
- Is breakfast included?
- When you book directly with us—by phone, email, or through our website—breakfast is always included.
- Is parking available at the hotel?
- Guests can park beside the hotel in the city’s public square parking area. Parking is free from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. During the low season, you can park for an additional two hours at no cost before needing to move the car. During high season, parking fees apply via EasyPark. For extended parking during the low season, we recommend a free 24-hour parking lot behind the hotel at Polisgatan 1, Lysekil. In high season, there is a 24-hour free parking lot about a three-minute walk from the hotel. We suggest parking close to the hotel first to unload, and our staff can guide you to the lot.
- If you have booked the Grand Hotel Suite, a private parking space accommodating two cars is provided.
- For electric vehicles, public charging stations by LEVA in Lysekil are available. You can find a map for these here.
- Is public transportation available nearby?
- Yes, public transportation is conveniently located near the hotel. The nearest bus stops are just a few minutes’ walk away in Lysekil’s southern harbor or Lysekilsparken. Additionally, the ferry terminal at Södra Hamnen offers easy access by ferry from Fiskebäckskil or Östersidans ferry terminal on Skaftö.
- Do you offer luggage storage before check-in or after check-out?
- We are always happy to provide luggage storage for guests both before check-in and after check-out.
- Are there minibars, coffee, and tea makers in the rooms?
- Each room is equipped with a minibar. Coffee and tea makers are available 24/7 in our library, located across from reception.

- Are dogs allowed?
- We are always delighted to welcome you and your dogs to our hotel.
- Is there an extra fee for dogs?
- An additional fee per stay applies for rooms with dogs. You can also book a dog-friendly room directly through our website, where the fee is included.
- Can we borrow a water bowl from you?
- We provide a water bowl in the room for your dog. We also offer specially selected dog treats; however, if your dog has a special diet, please let us know in advance so we can avoid offering these treats.
- Are there good places for dogs in Lysekil, such as walking trails, beaches, and dog-friendly restaurants?
- Lysekil offers many beautiful walking trails, such as Stångehuvud and Strandpromenaden, and more!
- If you’d like to go for a swim in nice weather, you can find a guide here on dog-friendly spots.
- At Luna Vingård & Restaurang and Luna Asian Tapas, dogs are warmly welcomed both inside the restaurant and on their cozy outdoor terraces!
- Even Zebran, a toy and pet store, is always happy to welcome dogs inside.

- We offer several family packages that you can book when visiting us; children and families are welcome all year round. Keep an eye on our various packages here.
- Is a crib available to borrow at the hotel?
- We have cribs available to borrow during your stay with us for an additional fee.
- If several people want to stay in one room, can we add an extra bed?
- We can provide an extra bed in all family rooms and certain larger rooms for an additional cost.
- My children and grandchildren live far away, and we’d like to gather the whole family to spend time together. Can we arrange that at your hotel?
- Absolutely! You can book a family gathering with us—check into your rooms, enjoy fun adventures during the day, and later have a seafood buffet or a delicious dinner together. The next morning, meet again for a big breakfast buffet before everyone heads home. Or, spend an entire weekend together! Contact us for more details on what we can arrange.

- Do you offer breakfast for guests with allergies?
- We can provide gluten-free, lactose-free, and dairy-free options. Please notify us in writing at least three days before arrival for any allergies. Exceptions can be made for shorter notice when possible.
- Do you have allergy-friendly rooms?
- We offer pet-free rooms. If you have other allergies, please contact us in advance of your stay so we can provide the best service.

- Absolutely, we have several meeting rooms and conference venues of varying sizes available for booking. Please contact us for more information and pricing.
- What technical equipment is available for conferences?
- We provide several high-quality options to ensure a productive conference or meeting. In addition to standard equipment and audio systems, we have an interactive screen to facilitate presentations and collaboration during conferences.
- Do you offer breakfast, refreshments, lunch, dinner, and activities for conferences?
- Yes, we provide breakfast during our regular breakfast hours. Morning and afternoon coffee breaks can be added, and we can also arrange lunch or a pleasant dinner in the evening. Additionally, we offer various activities that can be booked for conferences or team-building with colleagues. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your preferences and needs!

- Do you have a restaurant at the hotel?
- During the summer season, we have our own restaurant just below our entrance steps called Luna Asian Tapas. You can find more information about the restaurant here.
- We also have Luna Asian Tapas' sister restaurant, Luna Vingård & Restaurang. Located in Lysekil's vineyard, it serves Spanish tapas, produces locally grown wine, and is open most of the year. Learn more about Luna Vingård & Restaurang here.
- When your summer restaurant is closed, where can guests eat?
- There are many excellent restaurants near our hotel. We are happy to provide recommendations and help with reservations for your stay.
- Do you sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages?
- In our reception, we offer a selection of various beverages, including wine, beer, cava, soft drinks, water, and more. We also have a selection of snacks to pair with your drinks.
